Man, its been too long [Jan. 20th, 2006|11:07 am]

Well, its been awhile, but JV F'n Insanity has finally updated his live journal. So, as many might or hell, they might not know, I moved back to my old stomping grounds, West Virginia. Not alot has been going on, oh yeah, I got fired over at AWA Apex, but eh well, could've seen that one coming. Well, not alot to talk about, so I guess I'll sell out and do that first time gimmick everyone is doing these days....

MY FIRST AUTOGRAPH FROM AN INDEPENDENT WRESTLER: I honestly, don't remember going to very many independent shows growing up, but I could be wrong, and I really don't remember getting there autograph.

MY FIRST AUTOGRAPH FROM A WORLD FAMOUS WRESTLER: Larry Zbyszko, during his AWA World title run.

MY FIRST TIME SEEING PRO WRESTLING ON TELEVISION: First time I ever saw wrestling on TV, was when I was five years old, and they showed a flashback of Hulk Hogan beating the Iron Sheik for the WWF heavyweight title.

MY FIRST TIME DOING AN INDEPENDENT SHOW WITH A BIG NAME WRESTLER: In Oak Hill, West Virginia for APW, Shane Matthews, Chris Vega and myself were pulling up to the parking lot, and Ricky Morton was out there getting his stuff together, I just remember helping out and almost dropping his coffee.

MY FIRST TIME MARKING OUT FOR A WRESTLER I DIDNT THINK I WOULD: Chavo F'n Guerrero Sr. This guy f'n rocks! I never really watched him growing up, but I had a few tapes of him on it, and he took a liking to me, and it got to the point where I was looking forward everytime he'd be in the area. Awesome guy!

MY FIRST TIME NOT MARKING OUT FOR A WRESTLER THAT I THOUGHT I WOULD MARK OUT FOR: Jamie Noble. Mainly because aside from Jimmy Valiant, he was the first "name" I ever met before I had my first match, but he was just chillin' like everyone else was, so it was no biggie to me. Very f'n cool guy though.

MY FIRST TRAINING SESSION: As much as I hate to admit this, before I ever went to Jimmy Valiant's Wrestling Camp in Shawsville, VA. I had a brief training session with a couple of goofs, one named Daniel Lynch (aka Lynch Lightning aka Lethal Lynch aka Mr. Cocky aka Steven Daniels aka F'n Goof) and Nathan Waggoner (aka Manson Smiley aka Pyscho Man aka Bloodline aka Pink Fury aka WAG). Now, don't get me wrong, Wag is a cool guy, and I even tagged with him for a while, and I think he's a better wrestler than Lynch, but neither one had any business training anyone, especially with under a year of experience under there belt. But, anyways, the first day of training was basically me taking hiptosses, really sucked, but I guess it was my foot in the door. But, a couple months later, I met Shane Matthews, and we became quick friends, and we started going to Boogie's Wrestling Camp, and that was a much better experience.

MY FIRST WRESTLING SHOW I ATTENDED: AWA at some county fair in Baraboo, Wisconsin. I don't remember all the matches, I know the semi main event was Larry Zbyszko vs. Baron Von Raschke, The Texas Hangmen (Bull Pain under a hood), Mike Enos, Wayne Bloom, and a bunch others was also there.

MY FIRST INDEPENDENT TITLE: This is embarrassing, but in 2002, I wrestled for some outlaw group in Ripley, West Virginia called National Wrestling Orginization (thats right, NWO), and I guess they were a big JV Insanity fan, so instead of me winning a grueling 12 man tournament, they handed me the nWo United States title. By the way, I hate that name for an indy belt, especially when they only run once a month, if that.

MY FIRST ARENA RAT: Eh, kizayfizaybe.

MY FIRST MAGAZINE WRITE UP, INTERNET WRITE UP OR OTHER PUBLICITY: Well, for magazine, it was an APW from Oak Hill, West Virginia result. Not sure on the internet, but I do believe it was a result from an independent show.

MY FIRST MAJOR LOSS: Ha!

MY FIRST SHOT AT MAKING IT AT THE BIG TIME: Well, the only time I could think of, is the We Are Family show promoted by IWA Mid South. It was a quick squash. Got a little pub out of it.

MY FIRST WRESTLING SHOW: Over in Wayne, West Virginia for Daniel Lynch's UPWA (Oh, I didn't mention that this 6 month veteran was ALSO running shows). It was Hollywood Humongous & myself vs. Daniel Lynch & Nightmare. Ugh.

MY FIRST OUT OF STATE WRESTLING SHOW: Well, that would be my first match since I was living in Kentucky at the time. In fact, I don't recall wrestling in Kentucky until my second year in the business.

MY FIRST TIME GETTING REALLY FUCKING LOST: Was booked on one of those Scotty McKeever shows in the middle of nowhere. The town was called Durbin, West Virginia, we got there in the middle of the first match, and we were second. Oh my god, and the next night, we were booked in Greeneville, West Virginia. And I really don't think the town exists, I mean we never made the town, and when I was booked there a year later, I actually turned it down.

Well, thats all in the boring life of JV Insanity!
